Spohn Ranch’s skatepark craftsmen spent a successful summer in North Dakota, adding 2 concrete skateparks to North Dakota’s limited skatepark landscape. The first project was a design-build effort in partnership with the MHA Nation in White Shield. Designed for the community’s Native American youth, we kept the skatepark design simple with a beginner-friendly bowl and a handful of street elements around the perimeter.
The second project added onto our 2019 design-build project at the Rydell Skatepark in Grand Forks.
The highly-anticipated second phase completed the vision by doubling the square footage and adding a variety of street and transition style elements including a spine, pyramid hip and bump to rail/ledge. Our skatepark construction team also created the large “Air Jerbear” vert wall with pool coping and tile, a tribute to a local skateboarder who had passed.
