The City of Owensboro selected Spohn Ranch earlier this year via an RFP process among the nation’s top six design/build teams for a large skatepark development, including extensive site remediation and sports lighting. Since then, we’ve engaged in a thorough and collaborative design process, engaging with local skaters to design and engineer the best solutions for a site hampered by wet soils and non-usable fill materials.
The Spohn Ranch build crew has been on the ground now for the past few weeks and has been making great progress as the project’s general contractor, despite scattered snowfall and cold temperatures.
