We’re excited to announce that our latest Illinois design/build project is officially under construction at Park 553 in Chicago. The skatepark is one component of a 21 acre brownfield redevelopment in one of the City’s most park poor communities.
The design is the result of close collaboration with landscape architect Smith Group JJR and the skateboarders of Little Village – the neighborhood in Southwest Chicago where the park is being constructed.
The skatepark build is scheduled to wrap in mid-October, with a grand opening for the overall park set for shortly thereafter. The park will be located at 2800 S Sacramento Avenue.
