Construction documents are complete, steel fabrication is wrapping up and Spohn Ranch is gearing up to break ground on our first Nebraska skatepark for the City of Norfolk. After a decade of critically-acclaimed skatepark design-build in neighboring Iowa, we’re excited to continue extending our network of high-quality skatepark construction across the Midwest.
The Norfolk Skatepark, otherwise known as Miracle Skatepark, will replace 10,000 square feet of aging wood/metal ramps with modern concrete terrain. The skatepark design, created in collaboration with local users through a series of design workshops, features a kidney bowl, a variety of street elements and a mini-ramp section paying homage to one of the original skatepark’s most popular features.
That well-balanced terrain combined with lights for night use and Spohn Ranch’s signature architectural aesthetic will make Norfolk’s skatepark one of the best in skatepark-poor Nebraska. A pump track is also planned as a future phase south of the skatepark.
Spohn Ranch’s skatepark builders arrive on site in a few weeks, so stay tuned for updates!
