Perris, California’s new concrete skatepark is officially open at Goetz Park. Although skatepark construction by Spohn Ranch’s specialty craftsmen was completed several months back, the City of Perris held off on allowing skateboarders to access the skatepark until the rest of the park improvement project was complete.
The 5,000 square foot Goetz Park Skatepark features a good balance of street and transition-style features including multiple sets of stairs and a brick-stamped quarter-pipe. Concrete stained in the shape of the letter “P” adds a nice aesthetic detail and makes this skatepark easily identifiable from above.
With Spohn Ranch’s reputation attached to the project, skateboarders from across Southern California are eagerly making the trek to Riverside County for a taste of the smooth new concrete. One of those skateboarders was Red Bull’s Jake Wooten who recently visited the skatepark for a quick session.
