This fall, Knoxville, Iowa, 45 minutes southeast of Des Moines, will proudly celebrate the opening of a state-of-the-art skatepark designed and built by Spohn Ranch. The highly-anticipated Knoxville Skatepark follows recent Spohn Ranch projects in Oskaloosa, Fairfield and Winterset and will continue to cement Spohn Ranch’s legacy as a premiere skatepark design/build firm.

The 8,000 square foot skatepark is one component of a larger park improvement at Young’s Park and will replace the City’s previous collection of wood/metal ramps at the Knoxville Recreation Center.
The skatepark design is thoughtfully laid out to accommodate both skateboards and BMX bikes and includes a wide variety of terrain for all skill levels and riding styles. The west end of the skatepark is anchored by a fun 4′-6′ bowl, which then flows into a modern street section with rollers, stairs, rails and ledges. Integral colored concrete adds a modern aesthetic.
Stay tuned for construction updates and grand opening information!
