Construction on North Laurel, Maryland’s new 12,000 square foot concrete skatepark is coming along great! The multi-level bowl is nearly complete, with only one section of flatwork remaining to be poured. Yesterday was also an exciting day as the large native boulders were delivered to the site and strategically placed within the park’s skateable and non-skateable terrain. Weighing up to 27,000 pounds, these boulders are a great reflection of local heritage, while simultaneously serving as unique skating obstacles not normally found in municipal skateparks.
