In early April of 2010, Spohn Ranch Skateparks was approached by Imperial Woodpecker, a production company that was shooting a commercial for the EA Sports video game franchise. The commercial for Skate 3 called for the construction of a custom half-pipe.
Calling upon 18+ years of skatepark construction and design experience, the Spohn Ranch Special Events division erected a 13’ vert ramp on a tight schedule and with the highest of quality. The commercial called for a “rugged-looking” half-pipe with decks that could accommodate at least 20 skaters. As the leader in custom ramp fabrication for special events and commercial shoots, Spohn Ranch relied on proven safety and engineering principles to ensure the ramp could perform at the highest level.
