Holladay, Utah, just south of Salt Lake City, is now home to an 8,000 square foot skatepark drawing skateboarders and wheel sports athletes from across the region. Continuing Spohn Ranch’s tradition of high-quality skatepark design in the State of Utah, including facilities in Lehi and Ivins, our expertise maximized an awkwardly shaped parcel that had been under-utilized for years.
The high point of the site features an intermediate-level bowl with a 5’ shallow end, a 7’ deep end, a spine and a spacious bank extension. Flowing with the site’s natural topography, the skatepark terrain then cascades down to a street section with a variety of rails, ledges and bumps. The west end of the skatepark is anchored by a large skateable art sculpture shaped and carved to mimic Holladay’s iconic mountain backdrops.
In addition to a turnkey skatepark design-build scope of work, Spohn Ranch’s successfully coordinated ancillary items such as synthetic turf, fencing and conduit for future lighting.
